Tutoring

  • One-on-one Orton-Gillingham (OG) tutoring sessions

    • Minimum of 2 times per week on non-consecutive days

    • 45-55 minutes per session

    • In-person or online depending on the student’s location

  • Initial onboarding includes a review of formal evaluations and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), a parent interview, and implementation of informal testing measures to create a baseline

  • Semi-annual informal assessments with a report describing the student’s progress as well as a meeting with parents to review results

  • Sessions include exercises that teach, support, and reinforce the student’s executive function skills

Consulting

  • Guide parents with how they can best support their child’s learning

  • Work with schools and school districts by providing information and strategies directly to teachers

  • Provide direct consultation services to school-based staff in order to reinforce skills and strategies taught in tutoring sessions for any student who receives tutoring through Nuts & Bolts Educational Tutoring
